Services and Treatments
I primarily use Hale & Hush, a professional skincare line dedicated to sensitive and compromised skin. Their products are free from gluten, sulfates, parabens, artificial fragrances, silicones, and dimethicone, ensuring low toxicity and minimal irritation. This brand concentrates on strengthening the skin barrier with calming botanicals, making them ideal for individuals with allergies or skin sensitivities.
If you have any specific allergies or sensitivities, please let me know in advance so I can tailor your treatment accordingly.
I don't currently stock retail products in the studio, but I'm happy to special order anything you'd like. Products can be arranged for in-studio pickup or shipped directly to your home for convenience. If you're unsure what would best support your skin at home, I can also make personalized recommendations based on your treatment and skin needs.
Products can be ordered through me directly, or through my booking website here.
Frequency depends on your skin goals and budget. Most clients do well with monthly treatments for maintenance. Acne-prone or reactive skin may benefit from more frequent sessions at the beginning before transitioning into a maintenance schedule. For facial massage focused on lifting and anti-aging benefits, more frequent sessions can help support and maintain results more effectively.
Yes. Each treatment is designed to be both calming and results-focused. I combine gentle, therapeutic techniques that support the skin with a deeply relaxing experience overall. It's not uncommon for clients to fall asleep during their session.
I typically take a conservative approach with extractions and often choose to avoid them. While they can be helpful in some cases, more aggressive extraction work may increase the risk of irritation, bruising, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or scarring, and can disrupt the skin barrier when not necessary.
In California, estheticians are not permitted to use lancets or any tools that puncture the skin, as this falls outside our scope of practice.
When extractions are appropriate, I prefer to support the skin through gentle, non-traumatic methods or focus on preparing the skin through treatment. This often includes salicylic acid to help decongest within the pores and clay-based masks to absorb excess oil and support clarity over time.
Yes - my treatments are calming, barrier-focused, and suitable for acne-prone, reactive, and sensitive skin, including concerns such as rosacea, eczema, and general dryness. I'll guide you toward the most effective session length for your unique skin, including shorter, more targeted facials when needed.
Yes. Rather than aggressive or invasive approaches, my treatments focus on supporting the skin's natural structure and function. Through techniques that encourage circulation, lymphatic flow, and deep hydration, the skin often appears more lifted, firm, and refreshed over time.
Most clients experience a sense of relaxation, hydration, and visible glow following their treatment. In some cases, temporary effects such as mild fatigue, increased urination, or slight skin purging can occur as circulation and lymphatic flow improve. These responses are normal and should resolve quickly.
Yes - please visit the Skin Prep & Aftercare page for full pre- and post-treatment instructions to help you get the best results from your visit.
Health and Safety
Yes. Certain contraindications may require me to modify, delay, or avoid treatment depending on your current skin and health status. This includes, but is not limited to, active infections, open skin, sunburns, recent surgical or cosmetic procedures, and specific medical conditions or medications.
A full consultation is always completed prior to treatment to ensure suitability and safety.
Client safety and cleanliness are a top priority. Fresh linens are used for every appointment, and all treatment surfaces, equipment, and tools are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between clients. I wash and sanitize my hands before and after each session, and I wear a mask at all time while working with clients to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Gloves are not required, but may be used occasionally depending on the treatment.
Your comfort and safety are always the priority. I am fully present and attentive throughout every treatment and never leave clients unattended, allowing me to closely monitor for any signs of irritation or sensitivity. If you experience discomfort during your session, please let me know immediately so adjustments can be made.
If irritation occurs after your appointment, discontinue any active products and contact me so I can guide you on how best to support your skin.
In most cases, yes - facials and gentle face massage can be safe during pregnancy. However, not all products used in treatments are suitable during this time, so it's very important to let me know if you are expecting before your appointment. This allows me to make appropriate adjustments. I also recommend checking with your healthcare provider before booking.
Yes, absolutely. It's very important to share any recent cosmetic procedures before your appointment. A minimum of two weeks is required after injectables, as facial massage too soon can potentially affect how they settle. If you've had surgery or a more invasive procedure, I require approval from your doctor before proceeding, to ensure your safety and proper healing.
